This Privacy Policy describes how SolMo (operated by SolMo LLC, "SolMo," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the SolMo app. It's incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
2.1 Information you provide directly:
2.2 Information collected automatically: standard technical data collected by our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) as part of operating the Service — for example, IP address and basic request logs, used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. SolMo also maintains an internal admin dashboard reporting aggregate account counts per market (active, pending, waitlisted, and flagged) — this is operational reporting for running the Service, not a third-party analytics or tracking tool, and does not track individual user behavior.
2.2.1 Advertising measurement. SolMo uses the Meta (Facebook/ Instagram) advertising pixel to measure the performance of our own ad campaigns — for example, to see whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to create a SolMo account. This sends limited technical and behavioral data (such as page views and whether a signup was completed) to Meta. We use this only to evaluate and improve our own advertising; we do not use it to show you ads for other companies' products, and Meta may also use this data under its own terms as described in Meta's Privacy Policy. If you'd prefer this not happen, standard browser tracking-protection and ad-blocking tools will prevent it.
2.3 Information we do not collect. SolMo does not have a feed, does not track likes/reactions visible to any user, and does not collect content from the third-party platforms you link — we only store the handle/URL you provide; we don't access or store the content of those accounts.
2.4 Biometric information — forward-looking disclosure. SolMo does not currently perform facial recognition or generate biometric identifiers from your photos. We are disclosing this now, before any such feature exists, so that if we introduce a feature that processes your photos to generate a biometric identifier (for example, a selfie-based identity verification feature), no new consent round or re-notice will be required for existing users — the consent given at signup will already cover it, the same approach used for the possible future archive feature described in Section 5. If such a feature is introduced: (a) biometric data will only be used for the stated verification purpose; (b) biometric identifiers will be retained only as long as necessary for that purpose or as required by law, whichever is longer; and (c) biometric identifiers will be securely destroyed when the retention purpose ends.
We use the information above to:
SolMo does not sell your personal information, and does not share it with third parties so they can advertise their own products or services to you. As described in Section 2.2.1, we do use limited data through Meta's advertising pixel to measure and improve our own ad campaigns.
4.1 Public visibility when selected. If you're selected, your name, photos, bio, and linked social accounts become visible to other SolMo users for the duration described in the Terms of Service (currently 24 hours). This is the core function of the Service and is disclosed separately in the in-app Risk Disclosure you agree to before joining.
4.2 Service providers. We share information with providers solely to operate the Service, which currently includes: Supabase (database, authentication, and photo storage), a transactional email provider (Contact Us routing and account-related notifications), and Vercel (application hosting). If SMS-based communication is in use (e.g., for phone-based login), Twilio is used for that purpose. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf and is not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
4.3 Legal disclosures. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the safety of any person.
4.4 No sale of data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Because SolMo's waitlist and user base span the United States, you may have additional rights depending on your state of residence. This section summarizes rights that commonly apply under current state comprehensive privacy laws.
7.1 Rights that commonly apply (including under California's CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes), where applicable to you based on your state of residence:
7.2 How to exercise these rights. Contact us at solmoadmin@solmoapp.com with your request and your account information (or, if you do not have an account, sufficient information to identify what data may exist about you, such as your phone number or email used to contact us). We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law for your state (commonly 45 days, with a possible extension), and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
7.3 Authorized agents. Where permitted by your state's law, you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent's authorization and independent verification of your identity.
7.4 Nevada. Nevada residents may submit a request directing SolMo not to sell certain covered information; SolMo does not sell personal information as described in Section 4.4, but you may still submit such a request to solmoadmin@solmoapp.com.
SolMo is restricted to users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete it and terminate the associated account, consistent with Section 8 of the Terms of Service and Florida's Online Protections for Minors Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.1736), as well as any applicable law of the minor's state of residence.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls on our database and storage systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the event of a security incident involving your personal information that triggers a legal notification obligation, we will notify affected users and, where required, relevant state authorities, in accordance with applicable law — including Florida's data breach notification statute (Fla. Stat. § 501.171) and the equivalent law of your state of residence where different.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., in-app or via the contact method on file) before the changes take effect.
Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests under Section 7, can be directed to solmoadmin@solmoapp.com.
